A lineage that begins in 2012सन् २०१२ बाट सुरु हुने वंशावली

The story of the Nepal Federal Socialist Party begins with the original Federal Socialist Party, formed in November 2012 when Ashok Kumar Rai — then vice-chair of the CPN (UML) — broke away along with central committee member Rajendra Prasad Shrestha. The group said UML's leadership was not listening to the aspirations of Janajati (indigenous nationality) leaders within the party, and it organised a new party in time to contest the 2013 Constituent Assembly election.

नेपाल संघीय समाजवादी पार्टीको कथा सन् २०१२ नोभेम्बरमा गठित मूल संघीय समाजवादी पार्टीबाट सुरु हुन्छ, जब त्यतिबेला नेकपा (एमाले)का उपाध्यक्ष अशोक कुमार राईले केन्द्रीय सदस्य राजेन्द्र प्रसाद श्रेष्ठसँगै पार्टी विभाजन गरे। समूहले एमाले नेतृत्वले पार्टीभित्रका जनजाति नेताहरूको आकांक्षा नसुनेको आरोप लगाउँदै सन् २०१३ को संविधानसभा निर्वाचन लड्न नयाँ पार्टी गठन गर्‍यो।

That original party won five proportional-representation seats in the second Constituent Assembly, though it did not win any direct constituency seats. In June 2015 it merged with the Madhesi Jana Adhikar Forum, Nepal (led by Upendra Yadav) and the Khas Samabesi Party to form the Federal Socialist Forum, Nepal — a larger democratic-socialist party representing both Madhesi and Janajati movements.

मूल पार्टीले दोस्रो संविधानसभामा समानुपातिक प्रणालीबाट पाँच सिट जित्यो, तर कुनै प्रत्यक्ष निर्वाचन क्षेत्र जित्न सकेन। सन् २०१५ जुनमा यो पार्टी उपेन्द्र यादव नेतृत्वको मधेशी जनअधिकार फोरम, नेपाल र खस समावेशी पार्टीसँग मिसिएर संघीय समाजवादी फोरम, नेपाल बन्यो — मधेशी र जनजाति दुवै आन्दोलनको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने ठूलो लोकतान्त्रिक समाजवादी दल।

From breakaway group to registered partyविभाजित समूहदेखि दर्ता पार्टीसम्म

Mohammad Rizwan Ansari, a member of the merged Federal Socialist Forum, broke away from it on 4 February 2016 to form a separate group called Sanghiya Nava Bichar Samuha (Federal New Thought Group). On 17 December 2016, this group was formally re-registered as the Nepal Federal Socialist Party (NFSP).

मिसिएको संघीय समाजवादी फोरमका सदस्य मोहम्मद रिजवान अन्सारीले सन् २०१६ फेब्रुअरी ४ मा फोरमबाट अलग भई संघीय नवबिचार समूह नामक छुट्टै समूह गठन गरे। सन् २०१६ डिसेम्बर १७ मा यो समूह औपचारिक रूपमा नेपाल संघीय समाजवादी पार्टी (नेसंस पार्टी)को नाममा पुनः दर्ता भयो।

Less than a year later, on 10 October 2017, eleven smaller parties merged into NFSP ahead of national elections — including the Samyukta Jatiya Mukti Morcha, Mulbasi Mukti Party, Kirat Janbadi Workers Party, Nepal Shramik Shakti Party, Bahujan Shakti Party, Dalit Muslim Shramik Party and several regional Dalit-rights groups. This consolidation reflected a common pattern in Nepal's post-2008 politics, where small identity-based and left-leaning parties frequently merge and split around election cycles.

एक वर्षभन्दा कम समयमै, सन् २०१७ अक्टोबर १० मा, राष्ट्रिय निर्वाचन नजिकिँदै गर्दा एघार साना दलहरू नेसंस पार्टीमा गाभिए — जसमा संयुक्त जातीय मुक्ति मोर्चा, मूलवासी मुक्ति पार्टी, किरात जनबादी वर्कर्स पार्टी, नेपाल श्रमिक शक्ति पार्टी, बहुजन शक्ति पार्टी, दलित मुस्लिम श्रमिक पार्टी लगायत केही क्षेत्रीय दलित अधिकार समूह थिए। यो एकीकरणले सन् २००८ पछिको नेपाली राजनीतिको सामान्य प्रवृत्तिलाई देखाउँछ, जहाँ पहिचानमा आधारित र वामपन्थी झुकाव भएका साना दलहरू चुनावी चक्रको वरिपरि प्रायः गाभिने र विभाजित हुने गर्छन्।
